Beetham Nurseries Announces 2025 Charity Partnership with Growing Well

Beetham Nurseries is pleased to announce its 2025 charity partnership with Growing Well, a local organisation dedicated to providing therapeutic support for adults experiencing mental ill health. Throughout the year, Beetham Nurseries will collaborate with Growing Well to raise funds and increase awareness of the vital services they offer.

Growing Well operates as a horticultural enterprise offering clinical services in a non-clinical setting. Established in Kendal in 2004, Growing Well accepts referrals from North Lancashire and across the whole of Cumbria. Their comprehensive approach includes supervised therapeutic horticultural activities designed to empower people to unearth new confidence, skills and purpose. Participants attend one day per week for up to a year, with up to 20 individuals participating daily. 

As part of this partnership, Growing Well will have a presence at various Beetham Nurseries events throughout 2025. Additionally, Beetham Nurseries plans to make Growing Well’s organic veg available in its Food Hall and popular Garden Cafe, raising essential funds to support Growing Well’s services.

Jeni Thomas, marketing manager at Beetham Nurseries, expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership: “We are delighted to support Growing Well in their mission to provide much-needed mental health services in our community. We already have a number of exciting activities planned and we hope to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those facing mental health challenges.”

We are an established local charity who have supported individuals from across Cumbria and North Lancashire for over 20 years and this partnership represents a great opportunity for us to further spread the word and encourage people to come forward and receive the tailored mental health support that we can offer, free of charge.
