My husband Warren is so committed to making this new development perfect that he is based on site now.” 

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

As a gesture of their commitment to the village Wrenman have already donated £250 to St Wilfrid’s Church of England Primary School and a further £250 to St Wilfrid’s Church to assist in their roof fund which will go towards the upkeep of the village church. 

Halton is just an eight-minute drive from Lancaster city centre and two minutes from the M6 J34. Forge Weir View is the first project undertaken by Lancaster-based Wrenman Homes, a local developer with over 20 years of building experience with commercial sister property firm VMC Developments.

The development has placed emphasis on utilising the local suppliers and professionals with designs by JMP Architects, Siematic kitchens delivered by Mark Leigh and the showhouse interior design by MJ Bird & Son.

“Both Warren and I have carefully considered each aspect of the Wrenman property development, ensuring that our houses are the perfect blend of modern design, fused with traditional, locally sourced materials,” explains Vanessa. “We’re confident that our properties will offer the Lancaster district something completely unique in comparison to the typical new build developments we’re all used to seeing.”

Unlike many modern developments where the homes are either all identical or with just a few variants Forge Weir View sees much more variation. “Out of the sixty properties, there will be twenty different layouts from open plan to closed lounges, to brick, stone and rendered facias. Although this is a new venture for Vanessa and Warren, they are no strangers to high-quality local development. Warren Cadman set up VMC developments in 2003, and for the past fifteen years they have specialised in commercial new build and renovation with some bespoke domestic large barn conversions, and home builds. VMC is the culmination of Warren’s 20 years of experience in delivering and project managing works throughout the UK and Ireland.

Much of the success of VMC has been put down to Warren’s eye for detail and quality alongside and their focus on supporting all things local.
