Free Salt Room Experience with every Float.

Ever wondered why you might want to lie in a Pod full of salt water for a whole hour? Re:Set in Lancaster tell us more about the float experience.

Flotation therapy is now getting the credit it deserves mainly due to the advancement in technology and the design of the latest Pods. In the early ’90s the floating Industry tried to resurface but again was met with hesitant interest due to the cleanliness of the pods and filtration and the stigma of being attached to a ‘hippy’ and ‘woowoo’ culture.

Today the Float Industry is getting the credit and recognition it deserves worldwide. The industry has boomed in the last several years for numerous reasons including the state of the art filtration systems attached to the Pods ensuring the cleanliness of the water. Scientific studies have been conducted with conclusive findings on the benefits of improving peoples mental health especially anxiety and PTSD.  Elite world class athletes also use floatation therapy for visualisation, recuperation and relaxation to get the advantage in the competitive world of sport.

Float Pod at Re:Set in Lancaster

Regular Floating continues to improve lives worldwide and enable people to gain moments of silence and nothingness in a gravity-free and sensory deprived environment.

Like many other practices the art of floating and being able to ‘switch off’ can take a few goes to master, and here at Re:set we gage from our clients that the 2nd and 3rd experiences are often the breakthrough floats”

 Testimonial

I first floated back in February to help with stress and anxiety. My first experience was great, very relaxing, but I didn’t fully appreciate the benefits until my second float when I knew what to expect and really relaxed into it. The more I float, the longer the benefits, both mental and physical, last. There’s a lovely, welcoming atmosphere at RE:SET and I highly recommend the float therapy. I’ll be going back many more times! Thanks again, Hannah

BENEFITS OF SALT THERAPY

The benefits of salt therapy are wide-ranging. Salt levels affect our cell activity, energy and blood sugar levels. A natural disinfectant, salt is antimicrobial, and antibacterial. Salt comes in empty processed forms or healthier pure sea salt (Himalayan and Dead Sea salt) that contain 84 elements and trace elements found in the human body.

Dry salt air is more powerful than moist air. The negatively charged ions in salt improve our health and mood. Inhaling particles may reduce inflammation and mucus in the lungs, improving respiratory conditions such as asthma, allergies, bronchitis, sinus congestion and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Scientific studies show that people with asthma and other ailments breathe easier after participating in halotherapy sessions.

The calming and detoxifying effects of halotherapy can support the immune, nervous and lymphatic systems. Additional benefits are reduced stress and headaches, increased energy, and better sleep patterns. Salt ions purify the air and may increase lung capacity and reduce physical ailments. Treatments are recommended to help keep the body healthy during flu or allergy seasons.

Skin conditions can also be improved with halotherapy (psoriasis, rashes, eczema, acne). Table salt, sodium chloride, is dehydrating, but pure mineral salts have natural moisturising properties and support the skin’s water balance and barrier function by attracting moisture to the skin. Minerals are necessary for cell function and detoxification, so mineral salts have strong rejuvenating properties.
