Lancaster Footlights

Lancaster Footlights are a community theatre company that’s run through the help of volunteers. Footlights owns and maintains the Lancaster Grand Theatre and are currently in the process of raising money to build a new foyer extension onto the theatre that is fully accessible to everyone who visits.

Lancaster Footlights are a community theatre company that’s run through the help of volunteers. Footlights owns and maintains the Lancaster Grand Theatre and are currently in the process of raising money to build a new foyer extension onto the theatre that is fully accessible to everyone who visits.
Lancaster Footlights currently perform five in-house theatre productions a year including a traditional pantomime. This year’s exciting productions include; ’Up n Under’, ‘Life of Riley’, ‘High school Musical’, ‘Into the Woods’ and ‘Cinderella’ as their traditional Pantomime.
Footlights also have a studio branch that performs more edgy pieces in a smaller studio spaces around Lancaster. These productions are a great way to get new members involved and learning new skills that will enhance their hobby and maybe push forward into exciting new careers.
This month’s production is John Goober’s ‘Up N Under’. This hilarious comedy is about five unfit men in a pub rugby club, who get whipped into shape by their new female manager. Can she turn the hapless gang into winners? Come along and find out!

Footlights are constantly welcoming new members of any age no matter what aspect of the theatre they want to become involved with whether it be; acting, directing, technical, backstage, front of house, set design or costume, we want people to join and gave a great time!
