Litfest 2016 The 37th Lancaster Literature Festival

Join us on the 17th – 20th March 2016 for Lancaster Literature Festival!

Litfest 2016 offers a wealth of literary treats for everyone! On Thursday 17th March, Karen Lloyd and Andrew Hurley present ‘Inspiring Stories’; discussing how the landscape and libraries of Lancashire have influenced their literature. Friday 18th March brings an evening of Alternate Realities, as local and national science fiction writers read from and discuss their work in the genre. Saturday 19th March is our Poetry Day and we welcome The Periodic Poets with their ‘elementary’ works, plus poets from Wayleave Press and the Emma Press.

On Sunday 20th March we go out with a storytelling treat from Jacqueline Harris. ‘In Skriker’s Footsteps’ is a bold multi-media storytelling piece that brings together projection, animation, sound and live performance, its roots in the people and landscape of Lancashire.

Litfest takes place in The Storey on Thursday and Friday, and in The Sanctuary at Lancaster Library on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets can be booked via www.litfest.org or at Lancaster Visitor Information Centre in The Storey.
