Families and Babies is a charity that supports, promotes and protects breastfeeding and wellbeing in Lancashire. Amongst other things they are providing an online class to learn breastfeeding and feeding basics as Antenatal classes have been cancelled. Join the Facebook Group to find times and join.

Breastfeeding Groups in Lancashire

Across Lancashire there are a range of groups that provide Infant Feeding support, you can find this information from your Midwife, Health Visitor, Children Centre or Peer Supporter, attached is a list of groups across Lancashire where you can meet breastfeeding mums and receive support before and after your baby is born.

Due to the COVID19 pandemic all our face to face contact is temporarily suspended, including our groups listed at the bottom of this page.  

To continue supporting mothers in groups we have scheduled F.A.B Support Groups on Zoom.  These Post-Natal Video support groups run Monday to Friday mornings at 10-10.30am with trained peer supporters and other mums as follows;

Please continue to encourage all mums to call us and register, whether that is antenatally or postnatally.  Mums do not need to be registered with us for any of the video support groups listed but it enables us to support them longer term and in a much more personalised way, including one to one video calls, phone calls, text and emails – call us on 01254 772929 or email us [email protected] or [email protected] we also take referrals from any of our partner services with mums consent.
