Bronte School House
Bronte School House is a charming self-catering holiday cottage situated in Cowan Bridge in the Lune Valley near Kirkby Lonsdale, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and only 15 minutes from the Lake District. It is a grade II listed stone cottage, dating back to 1770, most famously known as the Clergy Daughters’ School attended by Charlotte and Emily Brontë. The property has been sympathetically restored using traditional techniques and materials and retains a wealth of character and charm whilst also incorporating essential modern comforts. Inside you will find snowy-white limewashed walls, original floorboards and beams, exposed stone walls, log-burner and cushioned window seats. Modern comforts include: comfy sofas; pocket sprung mattresses, crisp white bed linen; bathroom with freestanding shower and separate clawfoot bath; and a well equipped kitchen and of course unlimited wifi! There is a large cottage garden with several different seating areas for al fresco dining; and private parking for 2 cars.
Sleeps 5 and has a Trip Advisor 5* rating and holds Visit England 4* rating.
