Day Support and Activities

Piccadilly Support services is based in the lovely setting here at Piccadilly Garden in Scotforth in South lancaster, we are a social care provider, delivering day support services to adults with disabilities. We have been established since 1988.

Piccadilly puts the people we support at the heart of everything we do and offer each day. We provide a safe environment for people to be supported to develop their interests, meet others, form friendships and try new experiences. All our activities are tailored to the individual with support and care from our dedicated, highly skilled and experienced team.

We work closely with the people we support, their families and carers and any social care and health professionals to ensure the service they receive from Piccadilly is built around their needs, interests, wishes and aspirations.

People can come for one or more full days (subject to availability), our day is from 10.00 till 3.00.

People are supported in small groups of up-to 4 or 5 people.

We have pine cabins and bespoke modula cabins which we use for our activity sessions, each is fully equipped for a wide range of activities and we have plenty of open spaces and lovely gardens including a sensory pathway. We access other community venues for some of our activities.

We don’t have a set programme of activities, instead we plan our choice of activity based on what people in the group want to do and what they enjoy, they may pursue an activty as a group or do their own thing. people can change their mind on the day and do something different if they choose to. We are very flexible in our approach, however we can also provide a structured approach for those who prefere that.

We offer a supportive environment for people to try new things, meet new people, socialise, improve confidence, keep fit and have fun!

How to get a place at Piccadilly’s Support Service

The first thing is to arrange with us to come and have a look round and find out more about what Piccadilly has to offer. It is possible to do a taster session to get a feel for Piccadilly if the person wishes to do so. If the person has a Direct Payment they can make arrangements to start directly with Piccadilly, if they don’t have a direct payment they will need to contact Lancashire County Council social services customer care, or their social worker if they already have one, to arrange for funding to be put in place.
Please be aware places are very limited!
