The Simpson Millar Wheel – Opening 12th December

The very much anticipated Simpson Millar Wheel has been erected in Dalton Square in the Heart of Lancaster. Overlooking the Lancaster on Ice Ice Rink, the wheel completes this spectacular winter wonderland in the heart of the Lancaster District.
The 35 metre wheel towers high above the city, offering riders the chance to view our city from a totally new perspective, with views stretching over the Morecambe Bay and to the Lakeland Hills, the anticipation and excitement is buzzing in the air!

Hannah and Martin Horner, owners of the bustling pub and restaurant The Borough on Dalton Square often looked out of the window onto the scenic square, especially in the cold winter months, wondering how they could use the space to bring life, fun and sharing to the local and North West community. A chance conversation with event consultant Chris Selkirk of Sustainable Festivals set this amazing dream into a reality.
Tickets for the wheel cost £5 per person and can be bought from the Box office iOS in Dalton Square, there is no need to pre book. Each carriage seats 6 people and the wheel opens Thursday December 12th 6pm. (One carriage is disability friendly)
The wheel will be operating until 5th January.
