Fly your Kite at the Catch the Wind Kite Festival – Saturday 24th June

One of the highlights of the local calendar, the Kite Festival attracts thousands of people to Morecambe Promenade to enjoy a fantastic weekend of free activities and entertainment, as well as spectacular kites.

 

Get your dancing legs on – Hothouse Ceilidh – 24th June

Come along and join in the dancing to Price of My Pig, who are an exciting new band from Lancaster, specialising in arrangements of traditional tunes with a funky folky twist.

 

Watch the action on the Track – Sunday 25th June

So why not come and watch the intense action on the track. There is no need to book in advance, just turn up on the day. We have a Track Shop, Toilets and Burger Vans etc. Its a great place to bring a camera too and not expensive at all.

 

Sail a yacht – Beginners Course – 26th June

Adult beginners sailing course on Morecambe Bay. No prior sailing experience required to start sailing on the sea on this 2-day RYA learn to sail course with the northwest experts.

 

Go on a guided tour – 28th June

Guided tours of historic Lancaster, tours depart every Wednesday afternoon at 2pm from Lancaster Castle’s John O’Gaunt gatehouse.

 

Shakespeare in the grounds of Lancaster Castle – Bring a picnic too!

Join the Handlebards in the atmospheric grounds of Lancaster Castle for our all-male, bicycle-powered production of Shakespeares A Midsummer Nights Dream! Doors open at 6pm, so why not bring a picnic and come and enjoy the beautiful surroundings before the show?
