Trials bikers raise funds for cancer charity

A great day was had at Westmorland Motor Club’s ‘Nostalgia Bultaco Revival Trial’ on Saturday, June 16.

The event was held in Memory of Martin Lampkin, himself a trials champion, and hosted by WMC.

It attracted 135 riders this year – nearly double the amount compared to last year.

Among those riding were three previous Trial World Champions, all now retired. They joined in to ride with a new generation of Lampkin riders.

The weather certainly didn’t dampen the riders’ enthusiasm and as organiser Peter Remington put it: “They’ve got the Grin Factor.”

So far the club has helped to raise £1,289.38 for CancerCare and there is more to come via an auction that, due to the very wet weather, didn’t go ahead on Saturday.
