Turmeric Tea Recipe
With a long history of use in traditional medicine. The spice Turmeric is made from the roots, of a flowering plant in India and other parts of Southeast Asia. Most famous for giving curry its bright yellow colour, turmeric is also known for having potent anti-inflammatory properties.
The Turmeric plant grows up to 1m tall, but it is the roots that are used fresh or in powder form as is found in most supermarkets. The roots are boiled and dried before being ground into a yellow/orange powder.
The history of turmeric use dates back nearly 4000 years and is used in many cultures to treat a huge variety of conditions including respiratory conditions.
A great reason to be including more turmeric in your diet – we do love a curry!
